G'day Max,
I've been very busy of late with a few other projects
and Christmas etc., so for me, things have stalled on
SBC and I must get back to it and make a couple more
trips up there. Everything that has been presented to me
is very in depth and detailed and will take some
digesting. What I will say is that I don't belive the
Two Huts site is the correct one, although still a very
significant find and of historical value.
To be continued.

Hi
Max,
All is good. Have been quietly working away with the
rest of the team adding some additional material to our
findings/report.
With the rest of the teams approval may post some of
this material onto the Forum at a later stage, further
proving that the site is near the Kelly tree.
I remain more than satisfied with our findings.
Cheers,
Glenn

Many thanks Mr Standing for making the information
available on this forum that at last the team of
diligent workers named therein have now placed their
investigative report into the public domain.
I have taken a speedy gallop to the shop of that Mr
Dean, at Glenrowan, and purchased just one copy of the
publication. It took a bit of doing given my spiritual
being but Gary, with his work in this field of the
spirit world - I think that is what he dabbles in
amongst other wide and varied matters, was able to
comprehend my need.
A furious ride back home, to devour the investigators'
words was made.
Some hours later, I can say that how impressed I am.
At long last the place can be shown correctly (2 stone
piles elsewhere I see are mentioned but rejected because
of the comprehensive analysis and investigation and the
use of ALL sources and professional assistanc to
determine BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT the correct position
of our camp on the western side of the Creek).
I do hope the team receives due approbation and wide
reporting of their findings.
History is now corrected and those wishing to visit the
camp site area will now know they are at the correct
place of the scene.
A hearty congratulations to Messrs Briggs, Dean, Gill
and Standing for the time and work they have contributed
to conclude this matter.
Oh, and I do like the CSI at SBC moniker that
heads the document.
It couldn't be more concise and correct as to the work
therein.
With salutations to all,
Thomas.
PS Mr Standings posting preceeding this provides advice
as to how to buy the report. |

Congratulations to all those involved with the detailed
research and production of this definitive document. I
now have a copy and would encourage all those interested
to get one and absorb the information. I think there is
no doubt that the conclusions reached in the report will
firmly and finally establish the correct site of the
Stringybark Creek encounter. Having read all the various
writings many times, and covered the ground many times
doing my own research; this is the only site that ticks
all the boxes. The picnic ground site is clearly wrong,
the eastern Ian Jones "tourist" site demonstrably does
not stand up to scrutiny and Mr. Denheld's two huts site
just does not work geographically. It amazes me that
it's taken over 130years for researchers to establish
this; the correct location. This research group has
succintly evidenced what some of us have thought for
many years. They are to be commended. This paper will
surely be a very valuable document to any future
researchers.
I urge you all to get a copy.
cheers,
duncs |

Duncs and Thomas.
Thank you for the postings.
I now must make some comments.
The team has completed exhausive, analytical assessment
of all the material that we have been able to find, as
well as on-the-ground assessments.
I offer as just one example of the reports assessments -
the use of professional surveyors to undertake a survey
of the ground, which as it is clealy shown matches
perfectly to the Herald's reporter's narrative of his
visit to the camp site (No other ground along SBC
matches this profile!. This reporter went with Burman
and others to the site in early November, and his full
narrative is included in its entirety in our report.
(Others who use the term "Primary Evidence" cannot
dismiss such detailed, and contemporaneous writing).
There are many other matters in the report which have
all been substantiated by diligent and critical work by
the team members.
And as the posting recently by McIntyre says: The proof
is Beyond Reasonable Doubt as to where the police
camp site lay.
Watch the press and other media for coverage of our
investigation.
I am reminded of the following quoted in the Royal
Commission transcript at questions 13182 & 1498:
Joe Byrne’s sister tells Mrs. Sherritt Snr that “they
(the outlaws) are going to do something that will not
only astonish Australia, but the whole world.”
Well, we may not astonish the world, but I will be
pleased to simply astonish Australia - that at last the
question of where the police camp was has been correctly
identified.
We have been able to draw upon much material which was
not known, or available years ago when another place was
determined, and agreed to by those interested, as the
correct place.
I record here my thanks to Linton, Gary and Glenn for
their open minds, inquisitive assessments, local
knowledge of the Stringybark Creek area, careful and
detailed analysis and field observations to enable us to
test and confirm ALL evidence we have been able
to amass.
The heading of our report, and our team's name :CSI @
SBC says it succinctly.
And finally a thank you to those others who contributed
to our knowledge and work, all of whom are listed in the
report's acknowledgements.
I have made many new friends. |
